This 17th century roll-top desk is very tastefully decorated with gold
patterning. It includes a delicate lattice around the top and in keeping
with the original, it has beautifully crafted legs.
It has six fully working external drawers and more drawers and document boxes
available when the roll-top is opened. It is accompanied by a chair with full
padded upholstery and an occasional table, which is designed to hold books.

These commodes with their replica marble tops and attention to detail are amazing.
Designed to emulate the originals that started to be built at the end of the 17th century
in the reign of Louis XV they quickly spread throughout Europe. These are often called

and a chamber pot inside.
